Happy Women’s Day!
By all the needs and notions of my kind,
Am urged by your propinquity to find
Your person fair, and feel a certain zest
To bear your body’s weight upon my breast:
So subtly is the fume of life designed,
To clarify the pulse and cloud the mind,
And leave me once again undone, possessed.
Think not for this, however, the poor treason
Of my stout blood against my staggering brain,
I shall remember you with love, or season
My scorn with pity, —let me make it plain:
I find this frenzy insufficient reason
For conversation when we meet again.

happy international women’s day 2021
International Women’s Day is an annual event that celebrates and honors the accomplishments, contributions and achievements of women around the world. It is celebrated each year on March 8th. The day is marked by a number of activities, from organizing conferences and seminars to parades, performances and rallies. The origins of International Women’s Day can be traced back to 1908 when 15,000 women marched through New York City to demand better pay, voting rights, and the end of child labor. Since then, countries around the world have been celebrating the day. The day is an opportunity to raise awareness about issues affecting all women, such as gender–based violence, economic, political and social equality, access to education and health care, and paid employment. International Women’s Day also serves to recognize the progress made towards achieving gender parity, and to encourage further progress towards complete equality. The celebration of International Women’s Day has grown over the years, with many businesses and organizations holding events to honor the important role of women. In some countries, it is even recognized as a national holiday. It is seen as a powerful symbol of empowerment and gives women everywhere a chance to come together and celebrate the advances they have made in society. Through International Women’s Day, governments, companies, non–profit organizations and individuals are encouraged to take visible action to support gender parity and demonstrate their commitment to equality for all women. From signing up for UN Women’s HeForShe Campaign, to donating to a local women’s center, there are many ways to make a difference. Each year, International Women’s Day adopts a new theme and invites people from all realms of society to join in the celebration. This year’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge, which calls for people to take action and challenge gender bias and inequality. By actively choosing to challenge stereotypes and inequality, we can all contribute to creating a more inclusive and just society. So, let’s make this International Women’s Day an opportunity to lift each other up and help create a world where all people are seen as equals.
